Kentucky Shakespeare Festival's performances are held at the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheatre in Central Park in Louisville, KY. Central Park is located in the heart of Old Louisville's historic preservation district, at the corner of Fourth & Magnolia Streets. The amphitheater seats up to 1,000 audience members, with additional seating available on the lawn right and left of the stagehouse.
The Old Louisville area was first developed as Louisville's first "suburb", between the 1870s and the early 1900's, and is home to the largest Victorian district in the United States.
Central Park is also home to the Louisville Metro Police Department's 4th Division and the Old Louisville Information Center.
